She puts organization at the forefront of her design projects, as to her it is the most important thing for a successful design. I'm a local Realtor and have used Diana's services many times. She's helped me with my buyers who are considering buying a property, giving them ideas and sound remodeling advice. In January 2014, we decided to renovate our small and outdated kitchen. I started my search on the internet and also completed a form on Renovation Experts. I got several phone calls immediately. I interviewed 15 contractors over the phone, took 2 days off from work, met with 11 of my choices at home and narrowed it down to two.I was hoping for a designer/builder  who is easy to work with,  listen to our needs and not spend money where it should not be.

Based on my first easy meeting with JC, I selected D K Larr and company as I was looking for someone who not only design and build but does home organization too. I met again with JC in March 2014 and he mentioned that the designer, Diana Larr, was in New York on a relocation project.

The design process started in April and I postponed 
it to June. Diana and JC were very patient working around my busy schedule. Cocie provided a description of the work to be done, pricing and time of completion.

Our small kitchen renovation started on July 28, 2014, finished on August 28 ahead of schedule and did a walk through on August 29, 2014. 

D K Larr and company (now known as Phoenix Design & Consulting) exceeded all our expectations. Diana designed a kitchen within our budget that look and feel expensive and elegant. Being a designer, she has access to trade and saved us a lot of money in materials. 

JC was very responsive and came at 6:00 AM in the morning to address my issue with the placement of the recessed lighting and had these repositioned. 

The project manager, Joey Bergman was very easy to work with, always smiling and though young, has the maturity to handle a demanding client like myself. 

Diana, JC and Joey were very flexible, very responsive with any changes I made to the project, handling every detail of the job to make sure we were happy every step of the way.

Joey and his crew worked hard, cleaned up the dust and mess every day. Joey sometimes stays late to talk to us after work to make sure the project is meeting our expectations. 

Diana and JC worked on Saturdays and even Sundays to address  right away.

People who have seen our "new" kitchen were impressed with the transformation. Some said that it is like walking into a Kitchen Showroom! That says a lot about their expertise in remodeling a small kitchen like ours.

It is hard to believe that our small dark outdated kitchen has been magically transformed. My husband is so pleased and very happy. We love coming home to our "new kitchen".

We had such a smooth experience that even though we were not planning to, we decided to renovate the living/dining/mudroom spaces also.

Our living/dining romm and family room has been completed. Diana designed a simple and elegant not flashy yet usable and comfortable spaces for our family. We now use the dining room more and the chandelier lends a feeling of luxury.

Joey did an amazing transformation of our outdated brick fireplace. It truly looks like something out of a magazine. The various layers of lighting enhances the space.

Our family room is almost twice the size of our living/dining room and Diana fully transformed the room with a feature wall with ambient lighting that creates a dramatic effect at night. We are very happy with the transformation of our spaces and we truly enjoy our home more than ever!

I started working with Diana on reorganizing my kitchen , and she has a great skill for where and how to place items to make the kitchen more convenient and attractive. we then worked a face lift for my living room, dining room, and powder room. The crew that did the work were prompt, professional, neat and very good at what they do. We added crown moulding, a new fireplace facade and mantel, painted, added in ceiling accent lighting, and created an attractive column out of an ugly support beam. The area is transformed, and looks like a brand new house. Our once unattractive and ignored powder room is now one of the most attractive rooms in the house. Diana provided great ideas and resources and was fun to work with. She was available for consult whenever needed. We are extremely pleased with the design, construction and results. highly recommend Phoenix Design and Consulting. having them back soon to work on other rooms!

Working with Diana is an absolute pleasure. You can’t help wanting her as your best friend! She is kind, decisive, flexible, and extremely experienced. Not only does Diana help you save time, she also helps you save money (on several occasions she guided me on where to buy an item for a better price than I had found). Even though the majority of our project is complete, I feel like I will always continue to work with her. I do not buy anything for the house until I get her approval. I’ve sent her a text on any given day and time and she will respond with a yes or no. Makes my life so much easier. 
I had always been reluctant to work with a designer because I thought they would push me to spend unnecessarily. But I was tired of making the wrong decisions, or not being able to make a decision. Diana was the perfect remedy.

Diana Larr is very gifted as an organizer and as an interior designer. She offers both so generously and gently. My husband and I were overwhelmed by the move to our new home. We could not use the garage, closets were a mess and unopened boxes everywhere. Diana masterfully helped us get organized, hang pictures, arrange furniture, rearrange the garage so everything fit, even the car and make room for everything in our closets. Diana is absolutely fabulous. Cannot say enough about her professionalism and spectacular work. I hired Diana for an organizing job for my daughter's room. My daughter is 15 and very disorganized with ADD to add to the piles in the room. Diana knows how to work with teenagers and moms to get the best result. The outcome was a room my daughter was proud of and wanted to maintain! Diana even went beyond my expectations and found a beautiful desk to compliment the organizational work without my asking. All her work was within my budget. 
Diana came back two weeks later for follow-up suggestions and gave me further tips on how to keep the whole house more organized. She also gave me plans to help with a redesign project we will be doing in the future.
